TECHNICAL AND HERITAGE OBJECTIONS TO THE DIRECTORATE-GENERAL FOR TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS SUBJECT: Objections to the CV-207 Public Transport Service Project (Alacant Metropolità Nord). This submission relies on the 30 November 2017 technical report by the Municipal Architect, the municipal proposal for the permanent diversion of bus lines 23 and 31, and the feasibility of the alternative route through Pasaje Climont, Calle Quijote, Calle Canyaret and the N-340. FIRST OBJECTION.- Municipal Architect’s report and structural impacts. The municipal report identifies recurrent pavement damage, transmission of vibrations to foundations of traditional homes, possible micro-cracks and detachments, excessive noise and a recommendation to restrict heavy traffic in the Historic Core. SECOND OBJECTION.- Municipal institutional intention to modify the route. There is a municipal proposal for the permanent diversion of bus lines 23 and 31, signed on 6 February 2025, linked to the overexposure of homes to noise and vibrations affecting residents of Calle Mayor and Calle San José. THIRD OBJECTION.- Technical feasibility of the alternative route. The alternative route designed by municipal technicians runs through Pasaje Climont, Calle Quijote, Calle Canyaret and Avenida Comtat de Fabraquer to connect with the N-340, and coincides with Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan criteria. FOURTH OBJECTION.- Legal protection of Calle San José and Calle Mayor as a BRL. Calle Mayor and Calle San José form part of the Historic Core and its protection as a Local Relevance Asset. Valencian Cultural Heritage Law 4/1998 requires special caution regarding uses that may endanger the conservation of the setting.
