Mobility and heritage
Why does it matter?
The combined annual total exceeds 74,000 bus journeys. This level of heavy traffic must be assessed before consolidating routes through narrow, residential and historic streets.
01
Vibrations affecting traditional homes.
02
Noise and pollution in narrow streets.
03

What are we asking for?
Supporting public transport is compatible with protecting heritage. The association asks for less harmful alternatives and technical reports before maintaining heavy-vehicle routes.

Independent vibration study.
02
Heritage compatibility report.
03
Acoustic and dynamic impact assessment.
04
Comparative study of alternative routes.
05
Express and reasoned response to residents’ objections.
Proposed new route
The Town Council already has a diversion plan for lines 23 and 31
The Town Council itself has a technical plan for the proposed diversion of lines 23 and 31. The document is titled “DESVIO PROPUESTO L23 L31 - A2 (2)” and was prepared within the Urban Planning, Environment and Mobility Department.
The plan shows the alternative route proposed to avoid buses passing through the historic axis of Calle San José and Calle Mayor. This documentation strengthens the residents’ position: this is not an abstract idea, but an existing technical alternative already drawn up.
The association asks that this route be formally assessed within the CV-207 tender and used as a basis for removing heavy traffic from the protected historic setting.
